Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU team for day shifts (7a–7p). Eligible candidates may receive a prorated sign-on bonus of up to $6,000 for this 24-hour position.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, demonstrate strong communication, and ensure safety across all age groups. Join a dedicated team focused on compassionate, high-quality care near home.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Connecticut RN license required.
• AHA CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• NVCIT certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and effective communication.
• Demonstrate technical skill with patient care equipment and procedures.
• Evaluate and adjust the plan of care as needed.
• Develop and implement a patient care plan for each patient.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations and intervene appropriately.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary:

As the Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for diagnosing responses to actual or potential health problems and for providing basic emergent, supportive, and restorative care through the use of our nursing process. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned responsibility.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities:

• According to age and developmental level of the patient, systematically assesses the patient's physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs.
• Utilizes effective oral and written communication skills to include completeness and accuracy of documentation.
• Demonstrates accurate technical skill and operational knowledge of patient care equipment and procedure.
• Evaluates the plan of care and reformulates the goals as necessary.
• Develops and implements a plan of care for each patient.
• Recognizes unsafe and life-threatening situations and intervenes appropriately.

Registered Nurse (RN) Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut required.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
• Current NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or within 3 months of hire required.
