Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU and/or Telemetry teams. This 36-hour position offers daytime hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The RN will assess patients, document care, operate equipment, and respond to emergencies. CT-licensed RN with CPR and NVCIT within 3 months are required.

A sign-on bonus of up to $9,000 is available for external candidates, with benefits including Health Savings Account, life insurance, and 401K.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CT RN license.
• AHA CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire.
• Current NVCIT certification or within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's physical, psycho-social, emotional, cultural, spiritual and discharge needs according to age and developmental level.
• Utilize effective oral and written communication, with complete and accurate documentation.
• Demonstrate technical skill and knowledge of patient care equipment and procedures.
• Evaluate and adjust the plan of care as needed.
• Develop and implement a plan of care for each patient.
• Recognize unsafe or life-threatening situations and intervene appropriately.
