Job summary

Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Rapid Response Team. The Advanced Care RN provides high-acuity patient care in an acute setting with a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio, under supervision of nursing leadership.

The role requires graduation from an approved nursing program, FL RN licensure or NLC, BLS certification, and 1 year of RN experience (ICU/ED strongly preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
• 1 year of RN experience required; 1-2 years of ICU or ED RN experience, strongly preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies.
• Monitors and interprets patient data and responds to changing conditions.
• Documents patient care and maintains regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with medical staff and nursing leadership to plan and manage patient care.
• Assists with education and transition of new staff.
