Job summary

Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit. The role operates 7am–7pm, full-time, with every third weekend and a 30-bed ICU, Level 2 Trauma.

The RN delivers evidence-based, patient-centered care, coordinating across the continuum to support transitions home or to other facilities. IL RN license and CPR are required; BSN preferred, ADN acceptable with BSN completion plan.

Qualifications

• Current IL RN license is required.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with agreement to enroll in BSN completion within four years.
• Current AHA CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to create a safe patient environment and optimal patient experience.
• Coordinate comprehensive patient care using assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure smooth transitions to home or other care settings.
