Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Resource Registered Nurse for Charlotte's Resource Team. This part-time float pool role requires nursing across zones 6–8, operating in multiple facilities within the service area.

The position emphasizes nursing process, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement, with emphasis on age-specific care, charting in EHR, and collaboration with diverse care teams.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state(s) where practice is provided
• BLS certification required or as specified
• BSN degree preferred; minimum ADN may be considered depending on setting

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and promote patient safety practices.
• Evaluate outcomes and take action to improve patient, team, and unit results.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol.
• Communicate effectively and support team collaboration and delegation.
• Pursue professional development and maintain required certifications.
• Adhere to ANA code of ethics and ensure ethical patient care across disciplines.
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and other staff; document in EHR.
