Advocate Health IL Resource Team seeks a Float RN to provide adaptable, high-quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units. Flexibility, nursing excellence, and collaborative skills are essential to succeed in this role.

The position requires completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in the practice state, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience. Expect weekend and holiday coverage as part of a 6-week schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; and ACLS.
• Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing safe, therapeutic, evidence-based nursing care in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Floating to multiple care environments within a designated Zone and collaborating with diverse teams.
• Leading efforts that support the safest patient environment and best possible patient experience.
• Coordinating care for diverse patient populations within various acute-care, hospital outpatient departments and clinic settings.
• Maintaining the competency required to practice in all acute-care facilities within the designated zone.

Where You Will Work:

Advocate Health IL Resource Team is a multi‑site resource team supporting ICU care across the Illinois division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; and ACLS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required
• Weekend Requirement (Friday 1900 – Monday 0700): 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday Requirement: 2 holidays per year

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. Responsibilities include:

• Providing safe, therapeutic, evidence‑based nursing care in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Demonstrating adaptability by floating to multiple care environments within a designated Zone, integrating quickly into new departments, and collaborating with diverse teams
• Leading efforts that support the safest patient environment and best possible patient experience
• Coordinating care for diverse patient populations within various acute‑care, hospital outpatient departments and clinic settings
• Maintaining the competency required to practice in all acute‑care facilities within the designated zone
