Job summary

Baptist Health Walker Hospital in Jasper, AL is seeking an ICU RN to join our night shift team on a full-time basis, working three 12-hour shifts per week. This role provides advanced nursing care to critically ill patients and requires quick, precise clinical judgment.

You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, monitor patients with specialized equipment, and contribute to evidence-based practice while supporting families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing, meeting Baptist Health competency requirements.
• Maintains Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate license.
• Maintains BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in an acute care facility; 2+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced nursing care for critically ill patients requiring complex assessments and high‑intensity interventions.
• Interprets data from monitoring systems and adjusts care accordingly.
• Responds to emergencies using nursing standards and life‑saving interventions.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams; may serve as charge nurse or educator.
• Documents care accurately and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
