Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast in Philadelphia, PA, is hiring a Registered Nurse in ICU/HRT for a day shift. The role uses the nursing process to address diverse patient needs and collaborate with families to plan individualized care.

Minimum qualifications include a graduate of an accredited nursing program and active PA RN license; BSN strongly preferred. You will participate in safety and quality improvement and support education for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Patient- and Family-Centered Practice: knowledge of collaborating with each patient, family and/or designated care partner in care and care planning.
• Cultural Awareness: knowledge of people with diverse backgrounds and the ability to convey respect and connect effectively.
• Effective Communication: ability to communicate ideas and needs with patients and families and to delegate to team members.
• Patient Assessment and Care: knowledge of assessing ailments and forming care plans.
• Discharge Planning: plan post-discharge needs with patient and family.
• Health Information Documentation: document medical histories, symptoms, medications, and treatments.
• BLS - Basic Life Support and AHA certification knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, and families in line with Jefferson Health values.
• Partners with patients and families to identify learning needs and provide education.
• Minimizes risk by following established nursing practices and protocols.
• Uses information technology to communicate and support ethical decision making.
• Works within inter-professional teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Participates in safety and quality improvement committees.
