Job summary

Fairview Range in Hibbing, MN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive Care unit. The RN will deliver direct nursing care to critically ill patients and assume unit operations duties as charge nurse when required.

The ICU collaborates with hospitalists and supports thrombolytic and telemedicine-enabled care across medical/surgical/pediatric patients. This role features 12-hour day/night shifts, with a schedule of 48-60 hours every two weeks and weekends every third

Qualifications

• Current ICU experience is required; those with med/surg experience may be considered.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required and maintained.
• BSN or nursing degree preferred; BSN within 90 days if not already held.
• Trauma system criteria training within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ICU patient care and collaborate with hospitalists.
• Perform total systems assessment on admission and during stay.
• Assist with discharge planning and interdisciplinary care conferences.
• Lead and direct care team during shifts as needed.
• Utilize critical care expertise during emergencies and rapid response situations.
