Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers, The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8.

This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• DC RN license required.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and care for critically ill adult patients in ICU.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments per orders.
• Operate and monitor ventilators, cardiac monitors, pumps, and hemodynamic devices.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and codes.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and teams.
• Document assessments and outcomes in EMR.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge.
