Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health in Washington, DC seeks an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for full-time day shifts. You will deliver high‑quality critical care, monitor patients, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

The ICU RN role requires a DC license, and offers opportunities to work with advanced life-support equipment in a comprehensive hospital setting. BSN preferred with experience and ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• DC RN license required.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum 3 years ICU/critical care experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and care for critically ill adult patients in ICU.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products per orders.
• Operate advanced life-support equipment such as ventilators and monitors.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond to emergencies.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Document assessments and interventions in EMR accurately.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge.
• Ensure infection prevention and safety standards are met.
• Participate in rounds and quality improvement activities.
• Advocate for patients and maintain compassionate care.
