Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU (Critical Care) at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. The role emphasizes caring for critically ill patients, leading plan-of-care development, and ensuring a safe therapeutic environment.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to monitor and respond to evolving patient conditions. The position requires 1 year of RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS; ACLS and PALS are preferred and must be obtained if not current.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required.
• 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department preferred.
• BSN preferred but not required; RN licensure required at hire.
• Current state RN licensure; BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred or required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; create plan of care and evaluate treatment.
• Administer medications safely per policies and practice standards.
• Synthesize information for evidence-based, patient-focused actions.
• Adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions and respond confidently.
