Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); BSN within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
