Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital is seeking a skilled RN with ECMO experience to join the Cardiac ICU team. You will provide advanced patient care for critically ill adults, collaborate with physicians and perfusionists, and ensure rigorous adherence to care protocols in a high-acuity environment.

This role emphasizes rapid assessment, precise monitoring of life-support systems, and responsive action during emergencies.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Florida RN license in good standing.
Maintains current BLS certification; ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas.
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; critical care experience preferred.
Demonstrates proficiency in caring for high-acuity cardiac/ECMO patients.

Responsibilities

Care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies with high-intensity interventions.
Monitor and operate ECMO equipment and interpret cardiac monitor readings.
Collaborate with physicians, perfusionists, and ICU staff to manage patient care.
Develop and revise individualized care plans based on patient response.
Document care accurately in the medical record.
Respond to life-threatening events per policy.
