Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide expert patient care in an acute hospital setting. The role focuses on complex assessments, high-intensity interventions, and timely, evidence-based decision-making to stabilize and support patients' conditions.

The team collaborates across disciplines to ensure safety, quality care, and a compassionate patient experience. Applicants should hold an approved nursing program credential and an active Florida RN

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• 1 year experience required unless approved by AVP level or above.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. NRP required for Neonatal Intensive care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies, high intensity interventions.
• Utilizes information and assessment data to anticipate and respond with confidence to changing patient conditions.
• Identifies and prioritizes information to take immediate, evidence-based action.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment and records cardiac and respiratory parameters.
• Responds to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
• Documents patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful and compliant manner.
