Job summary

Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, FL, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Cardiac ICU ECMO team. The role focuses on specialized ECMO patient care, complex assessments, and rapid response to critical events.

As an RN on the ECMO unit, you will monitor patient status, collaborate with physicians and perfusionists, and ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety standards. A BSN preferred; multiple certifications may be required depending on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate license.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
• 1 year experience required unless AVP level approval.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients requiring complex assessment and high-level interventions.
• Monitor and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Assess and plan individualized patient care.
• Document care in the patient record accurately.
• Communicate with medical staff and inter-disciplinary teams.
• Maintain equipment and ensure patient safety.
