Job summary

Baptist Health Walker Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time role in the ECMO/ICU setting. You will provide specialized nursing care for critically ill patients, monitor ECMO circuits, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The position requires Alabama RN licensure, BLS, and advanced certifications. Prior ICU and ECMO exposure is preferred. This role offers full-time hours on a 12-hour shift pattern in a demanding but rewarding environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Active State RN license Alabama or valid eNLC.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC required for certain areas.
• 1 year nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care for patients with advanced illness or injury requiring complex assessment and high-level interventions.
• Monitors and interprets ECMO circuit data and related critical equipment.
• Responds to life-threatening situations following established protocols.
• Develops and revises individualized care plans based on patient needs and responses.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team to plan and manage patient care.
• Documents care activities and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.
