Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Intensive Care Unit team. This full-time position runs 6am–6pm on dayshift, and you will work under the supervision of registered nurses to deliver direct patient care.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient interaction, effective communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced ICU environment. A high school diploma and BLS are required, with CNA/MA or related certifications accepted; one year of health care

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Multiple CNA/MA/NCT/NCPCT/etc. certifications acceptable.
• One year of health care experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with patient care under the direct supervision of a professional nurse.
• Support admissions and discharge processes and patient safety practices.
• Observe patients' conditions and report changes to the nurse.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
