Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital seeks a Patient Care Technician for the ICU on the night shift. You will work with RNs to provide direct patient care, support admissions and discharges, and monitor patient conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 90 days, and relevant CNA/NCMA/NCPCT/Navy hospital school credentials. Prior health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• BLS Certification within 90 days of hire
• Care Partner certifications and state-accepted credentials
• CNA, NCMA, NCPCT certifications preferred or required
• US Navy Hospital Corps School completion is a plus
• Experience in emergency services and clinical programs encouraged

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Assist with admissions and discharge processes
• Observe patients and report changes in condition to the nurse
