Sentara Leigh Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Observation Unit on the Norfolk, VA campus. This on-site role supports a 24-bed unit during the night shift (approximately 6pm–6am) and involves working under a nurse's supervision to deliver delegated nursing tasks and monitor patient status.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and hold one of several certifications or be enrolled in a clinical program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or higher.
• Certification/Licensure options accepted include CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, US Navy Hospital Corps School, EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic, or current clinical student with RN/LPN/RT/PT coursework.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Monitor and report changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
• Assist with admissions and discharge processes and ensure patient safety practices.
