Job summary

Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Technician I for per diem, 12-hour night shifts in the ICU. The role involves direct patient care, mobility assistance, and monitoring vital signs under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS (required within 3 months of hire)
• CNA or CPCT certification
• Prior acute care experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
• Assisting patients with activities of daily living
• Performing postmortem care
• Measuring and recording intake and output (I & O)
• Performing EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
• Observing and reporting changes in patients’ conditions to the RN
• Maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned
