Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Monmouth Medical Center ICU unit seeks a Clinical Care Technician to support nurses and care teams. You will assist with daily patient needs, monitor vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and help maintain accurate EHR documentation while upholding infection control standards.

You will work in a fast-paced ICU environment, collaborating with nurses and therapists to implement care plans and ensure patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living and providing nursing care including taking vital signs, EKGs, and assisting with bedside care (bathing, mouth care, skin care).
• Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) to track patient health status.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) while maintaining confidentiality.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans.
