Job summary

AtlantiCare Mainland Campus ICU is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support critical care patients under licensed supervision. You will assist with personal care, participate in care plans, and help collect specimens and data for clinical decision making.

The role requires high school diploma, BLS certification within 30 days, CPI training within 1 year, and English proficiency. Prior patient care education or enrollment in nursing/PA programs is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training within 1 year of hire or transfer (or by 10/31/25 for existing employees).
• English language proficiency required; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision.
• Assist patients with personal care needs and participate in the plan of care.
• Collect test specimens and document activities per procedures.
• Communicate observations and data to the Clinical Associate.
• Maintain confidentiality and teamwork in a hospital setting.
• Support limited laboratory services as directed.
