Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver direct, age-appropriate care under RN guidance across units within the Medical Intermediate and Intensive Care setting. The role supports patient comfort, safety, and hygiene while maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with the care team.

Required: High School degree or equivalent and AHA BLS HCP certification. Preferred: CNA licensure or certification with healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Degree or equivalent.
• Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure/Certification.
• Required: AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent Licensure/Certification.
• Minimum: Certification/Completion of one of the following: CNA/MA/EMT/Military Corpsman/Nursing Aide with clinical rotation.

Responsabilités

• Provide safe, direct age-appropriate care to patients.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report to health care team.
• Support care plans, hygiene, safety, and comfort needs.
• Maintain a clean, stocked clinical location and protect patient safety.
• Record patient information and vital signs accurately throughout care.
• Assist with specimen collection when needed.
• Adhere to mandatory trainings and infection control policies.
