Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct, age-specific patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed practitioner. You will monitor patients, update the care team, and ensure a safe, clean environment with proper supplies and documentation across units.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant licensure/certification preferred.
• Certification/completion of CNA, MA, EMT, Nursing Aide programs or clinical nursing course with rotation.
• Ability to wear PPE and adhere to infection control policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, age-specific care under supervision of RN or practitioner.
• Monitor patient conditions and report updates to the health care team.
• Maintain safe, clean, stocked environment to meet patient needs.
• Collect patient information: vitals, intake/output, height/weight as outlined by policy.
