Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct, age-appropriate care under RN supervision. You will monitor patients, support hygiene, and help with comfort and safety in the assigned unit.

The role requires a High School diploma and certification such as CNA/EMT or BLS; healthcare experience is preferred. This is an on-site position with opportunities to contribute to patient experience within a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• Certification/Completion of one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Military Corpsman/Nursing Aide Training Program

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, direct care to patients in the assigned unit under RN/LP or practitioner supervision.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and report updates to the healthcare team.
• Obtain and record patient information (vital signs, intake/output, height/weight, etc.) and assist with activities of daily living.
