Job summary

Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for nights. This full-time, 36-hour weekly role requires reliable attendance and teamwork; shifts are 7pm–7:30am with weekend rotation.

The position offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a minimum starting rate of $16.25 per hour with higher rates for experienced staff, up to $3 shift differentials, and up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as directed, within the nursing assistant scope.
• Documents patient conditions and reports changes to licensed staff.
• Assists with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Transports patients and delivers specimens to the lab.
• Performs clerical duties and coordinates admissions/discharges.
• Acts as a mentor for new staff and supports care team.
