Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking a Nursing Assistant for night shifts, 36 hours per week. The role includes eligibility for a $1,500 sign-on bonus, a 16.25 USD hourly minimum, and up to 3 USD shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends. There is also up to 40,000 USD in educational assistance to pursue nursing.

Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual and able to meet full-time scheduling requirements, with strong teamwork and communication to support patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Provides patient care within the nursing assistant scope of practice.
• Observes and documents patient needs and reports changes to licensed personnel.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Performs admissions/transfers/discharges clerical duties and coordinates tests/transport.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as directed within the nursing assistant scope.
• Identifies patient needs and reports changes promptly to licensed staff.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient hygiene.
• Transcribes and processes orders and supports patient throughput.
• Coordinates transportation of patients to tests and labs.
