Responsibilities

• Cares for patients under the supervision of a registered nurse and assists with activities of daily living.
• Takes and records vital signs, height/weight, oxygen saturation and reports unusual observations.
• Collects specimens and monitors intake and output.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under supervision and maintains patient safety.
• Assists with nutrition, room service, meal setup and feeding as needed.
• Adheres to infection control policies and participates in safety initiatives.
• Supports orientation of new Nursing Assistant colleagues.
