Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 36-hour night shift at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. Under RN supervision, you will provide basic patient care, assist with daily living activities, and help ensure patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required; new hires have 30 days to obtain.
• Basic ability to read, write and perform basic four-function math.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients with basic personal care and ADLs as delegated by the RN.
• May take and record vital signs and report unusual observations.
• Collects specimens for analysis and records intake/output.
• Assists with nutrition, meal setup, and feeding as needed.
• Follows safety and infection control policies; supports patient safety as a sitter.
• Assists with orientation of new Nursing Assistant colleagues.
