Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Ability to obtain knowledge of medical terminology, basic personal computer skills, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients as delegated by the RN and completes activities of daily living.
• Monitors vital signs, height, weight, and oxygen saturation; reports observations.
• Collects specimens, records intake and output.
• Assists with nutrition, meals, and feeding as required.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under supervision or independently.
• Supports safety, infection control and patient safety initiatives.
• Assists with orientation of new Nursing Assistant staff.
