Job summary

Medical City Dallas, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Medical ICU Registered Nurse Shift Supervisor to influence patient care and lead clinical operations during shifts. You will work with the nursing leadership to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across the unit, supporting throughput, staffing, and staff development.

The role requires RN licensure, a Bachelor’s degree, and 2+ years ICU experience, with ACLS/BLS within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• ICU experience required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support within 30 days.
• RN license and a Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with management.
• Collaborate with managers to create teamwork and improved patient outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Implement nursing strategies to improve engagement and patient experience.
• Involve in interviewing, training, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management to meet patient care needs.
