Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center nurses provide essential patient care in a large academic health system. The role focuses on planning, organizing, and delivering care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Position shifts include FT Nights with 36 hours per week, 7 PM to 7 AM, with weekend and holiday rotation. Relocation stipends may be available for eligible new hires based on mileage.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Tennessee or eligible to practice nursing in Tennessee.
• Experience in hospital inpatient nursing settings preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with valid licensure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient’s progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
