Job summary

Premier Health in UVMC ICU is seeking an Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) to support the Nurse Manager in delivering excellent patient care and to lead a nursing team. The ANM will supervise day-to-day operations, mentor staff, and drive quality and safety initiatives.

This role emphasizes leadership presence, staffing oversight, and collaboration with the NM to maintain a diverse, inclusive work environment and high patient satisfaction. BSN preferred and Ohio RN license required.

Qualifications

• BSN required or must obtain within 3 years of hire.
• Proof of enrollment required within 6 months of hire.
• Valid Ohio RN License.
• Specialty certifications may be required depending on unit.
• Professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the work of others and serve as the extension of the NM in leadership presence.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of a care team delivering high‑quality nursing care.
• Support change in the dynamic healthcare environment and drive improvement.
• Coach and mentor nursing staff to foster growth and accountability.
• Ensure staffing adequacy and productivity while maintaining patient safety.
• Engage in performance improvement activities and daily nurse leader rounding.
