Job summary

Northwest Health La Porte is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to cover night shifts in the ICU. The role involves patient-centered critical care, coordinating care with the team, and following established protocols.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN licensure in state or compact license required.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• ACLS / PALS / NRP preferred.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and education.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR code teams.
• Documents care promptly in the electronic medical record.
• Maintains infection control standards and patient safety.
