Job summary

Northwest Health - La Porte in Indiana is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the ER. The role provides mid-shift hours and a 24-hour work week, delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure in the applicable state (Indiana or Compact).
• BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety in the unit.
• Demonstrate professional development and participate in QA activities.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code team activities.
