Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for night shift in the Adult ICU/Critical Care unit. The role requires a Texas RN license, BLS certification, and ALS/ACLS on hire. You will coordinate patient care and support the health care team.

Minimum two years of nursing experience, BSN preferred, and nursing practice per Texas Nursing Act. Night shift, full-time position with leadership opportunities and ongoing education involvement.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN, preferred.
• Must have two years of nursing experience.
• Prefer experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a patient advocate and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Performs patient assessments and notifies providers of changes.
• Manage care for adult ICU patients and coordinate with the care team.
• Provide direction to non-nursing staff and participate in handoffs.
• May serve as preceptor or trainer and conduct in-service education.
