Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Plano, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU. This full-time night shift (7P–7A, 36 hrs/week) requires a Diploma in Nursing or an Associate degree, with BSN preferred, and RN licensure upon hire.

The ICU features 30 beds with board-certified critical care oversight and round-the-clock care. Candidates with ICU experience are strongly preferred and required certifications include BCLS, ACLS within specified times, and CPI training.

Qualifications

• Diploma Nursing or Associate degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• CLIA regulations compliance for foreign education equivalency required.
• One year of clinical nurse experience or completion of an RN residency.
• ICU experience strongly preferred.
• RN licensure required upon hire.
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care; maintained quarterly.
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
• CPI training required within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in the ICU setting.
• Demonstrate active listening and non-judgmental communication with patients and families.
• Recognize patient affiliations and individual needs in care planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
