Job summary

Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital is seeking an RN for the Intensive Care Unit to provide high-level care on a 12-hour shift schedule. This role emphasizes critical thinking, rapid assessment, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Eligibility includes Florida RN licensure, BLS, and ICU-specific certifications as required. Experience in critical care is preferred to support complex patient needs in a 16-bed unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Maintains BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be required for certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Cares for critically ill adults with high-level monitoring and interventions.
• Uses patient data to anticipate changes and implement timely care.
• Interprets vital signs and complex equipment readings (ECG, ventilators, intracranial pressures) to guide treatment.
• Responds to life-threatening situations per nursing standards and protocols.
• Develops and revises individualized care plans based on patient progress and needs.
