Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Charge Nurse Nights for the ICU to oversee unit operations during night shifts and ensure high-quality patient care. The RN Charge will supervise nursing staff, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold hospital policies while fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications include RN licensure, BLS, and 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Proficiency with hospital information systems and clinical documentation tools.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols, safety standards, and quality improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports nursing and support staff, delegating tasks and responsibilities.
• Evaluates staff performance, providing feedback and coaching to maintain high standards of care.
• Oversees patient care planning, ensuring plans are followed and adjusted as needed.
• Coordinates care with healthcare teams and improves patient flow within the unit.
• Ensures effective communication among physicians, patients, families and departments.
