Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Critical Care in Wisconsin. The ICU team offers day shifts with 24 hours per week and potential training into ICU within six months if no prior ICU experience.

Minimum requirements include a Board of Nursing approved program, BLS, and active RN license. Typical experience is 1 year in clinical nursing with strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact and/or state privileges.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required by department.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety and quality.
• Documents accurately in the EHR and maintains timely records.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrates age-specific care knowledge and appropriate delegation.
