Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit on day shifts at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role is 36 hours per week, with hours from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm and every other weekend.

You will perform patient assessment, coordinate care plans, teach patients and families, support quality improvement, and maintain current nursing standards and Illinois licensure. Requires an Associate's degree or BSN and AHA CPR.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
