Job summary

North Memorial Health is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the South 7 Medical Intensive Care Unit in Minnesota. The role coordinates information flow, performs reception and clerical duties, and helps maintain unit workflow for staff, physicians, and families.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with HUC/Medical Secretary training preferred and at least two years' related experience. The position is on-site with daytime shifts, and benefits include health insurance, 401k or pension,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator Program or Medical Secretary Program preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Secretary, or related role in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate an efficient customer care unit with prompt, accurate, and courteous processing of information.
• Perform reception and clerical activities; maintain unit workflow for staff, physicians, customers and families.
• Support Patient Safety goals and ensure patient privacy and accurate identification; respond to alarms by notifying appropriate staff.
