Job summary

Park Nicollet Health Services is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to join the ICU team at Methodist Hospital. The role focuses on patient care coordination, assisting nursing staff, and providing information and directions to patients and families in a compassionate, service-oriented manner.

As a 0.7 FTE position with straight evenings and every Friday, you will help secure resources, troubleshoot issues, and deliver exceptional customer service as part of our dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Completion of Health Unit Coordinator program preferred.
• Previous customer service experience recommended.
• Medical terminology and keyboarding skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and assist unit nursing staff.
• Provide information and directions to patients, families, and visitors.
• Troubleshoot issues and secure needed resources for the unit.

Position Summary:

The Health Unit Coordinator serves as a resource for unit nursing staff, allied health departments, medical staff, patients, and visitors by assisting with patient care coordination, providing information, giving direction, securing assistance and resources, and troubleshooting. This is done in a manner, which reflects the vision, mission, and philosophy of nursing and Park Nicollet Health Services. The Health Unit Coordinator is expected to provide exceptional customer service.

Work Schedule:

0.7 FTE - Straight Evenings and Every Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

High School diploma preferred. Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program preferred. Previous customer service experience, medical terminology and keyboarding skills is preferred.
