Carle Health seeks a Health Care Technician to support licensed nursing staff on an inpatient unit under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The HCT aids with personal care and daily living activities for assigned patients and serves as a liaison with other departments and visitors.

Required: HS Diploma/GED, BLS within 30 days, and completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program; CNA experience or coursework within 24 months is preferred. May float between units and assist as a sitter.

Qualifikationen

• BLS within 30 days (AHA)
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Prior CNA experience in past 24 months preferred
• Completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program required
• Relevant medical military training accepted
• Completed CNA coursework within past 24 months
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential recognized
• At least one nursing clinical semester required

Aufgaben

• Assist with maintenance of unit supplies: stocking nurse servers, cleaning instruments, ordering supplies, and chart preparation.
• Collect data on assigned patients and ensure accurate documentation.
• Demonstrate competency in vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and intake/output measurements.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient transportation.
• Float within hospital to perform duties as needed; may serve as a sitter.
• Set up bedside procedures and support nursing care.
