Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Health Care Technician (HCT) in Illinois to support licensed nursing staff under the direct supervision of the nursing manager. The role focuses on personal care, hygiene, and basic clinical tasks while coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth unit operations.

Ideal candidates will have CNA-related training or completion of Carle’s HCT In Training Program, a HS diploma/GED, and BLS certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days as required.
• Certificate of Completion: Nurse Assistant or CNA training completed.
• HS Diploma or GED achieved; Carle's HCT In Training Program completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unit supplies including stocking, cleaning instruments, ordering supplies and charting.
• Collect data on assigned patients and document accurately per RN instructions.
• Demonstrate competency in vitals, glucose monitoring, and input/output measurements.
