Qualifications

• Two-year AS degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license (CA).
• RAT or BLS at time of hire, with RAT within 6 months.
• PALS/NRP obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Self-directed and able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professionalism, credibility and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Administers humidity and aerosol therapy and lung inflation maneuvers.
• Initiates and monitors patients on continuous ventilatory support; performs CPR as needed.
• Performs invasive and noninvasive monitoring and diagnostic techniques in critical care areas.
• Works independently within ICU, ER, and floor care areas.
• Contributes to department and organization education activities.
