Job summary

UCI Health seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist I to evaluate pulmonary function and perform cardiopulmonary procedures, delivering respiratory care and ventilatory support to patients.

The successful candidate will be a graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program with active RRT, licensure, and required certifications (PALS, BLS, ACLS) and must be willing to travel to clinics and campus offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program.
• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current RCP License in good standing.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Required @ Academic Medical Center Locations).
• Current PALS Certification upon hire. (Grandfathered until Aug 1, 2026).
• Current Basic Life Support (Required).
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required).
• Ability to travel to clinics and other campus offices as determined by patient and scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate pulmonary dysfunction and perform cardiopulmonary procedures to treat and care for the patient.
• Provide respiratory therapy and ventilatory support in patient care.
• Collaborate with care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Travel to clinics and other campus offices as needed.
