Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist I to provide full-range diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care across age groups. You will respond to emergencies, manage airway, ventilatory support, therapies, and data interpretation to guide treatment with the medical team.

Applicants must hold California Respiratory Care Practitioner license, NBRC RRT, and BLS; NRP if required, ACLS/PALS per site. The role requires flexibility to work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and collaboration

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
• Strong understanding of respiratory care procedures.
• Willingness to orient to multiple UCSF locations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, administer and document aerosolized and aerosol-based therapies.
• Manage non-invasive and invasive ventilatory support systems and monitor patient-ventilator interaction.
• Contribute to departmental quality and performance goals.
• Consult with RCS, Nursing, Medical, and other personnel to develop care plans.
• Maintain clinical competencies across all areas served by Respiratory Care.
