Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks an experienced Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP to support CVICU and ICU. The role involves collaborating with 10 NPs and 5 Attending Physicians, managing complex critical care patients, and performing high-level procedures.

Requires Texas NP licensure, AG-ACNP certification, and ICU/critical care background; master’s degree preferred. Shift pattern includes 7p start with 72 paid hours across 3 shifts weekly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the State of Texas.
• ACNP/NP credentialing and Texas licensure required.
• Two+ years in critical care recommended; CVICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage ICU patients as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Perform procedures such as arterial/central lines, intubation, chest tube and thoracentesis.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, intensivists and nursing staff.
• Participate in credentialing and quality improvement activities; document care.
